Happy Saturday! I’m here with some of my favorite reads from around the web this week (well, from the past few weeks). Leave a comment and share your favorite post, I’m always looking for new blogs to read.
- End of Year- Teacher’s Gifts by Amy at Total Tippins Take Over- This post is loaded with great ideas and tons of printables, Amy is so creative. I’m definitely bookmarking this post for next year.
- the reasons I celebrate by Erin at Blue-Eyed Bride- I love Erin’s heart and the way she talks about being a mother to her boys.
- Skinny Chicken Fajitas from Skinnytaste- Anytime someone uses the word skinny and the name of my favorite Mexican dish in the same phrase, they have my attention. I think we’ll try these out next week.
- Living with marble countertops, a cautionary tale by Edie at Life In Grace- Erin shared this post a few weeks ago, but I just had to share it too. Many of you know that Allen has a natural stone countertop business. We are switching out the countertops in our kitchen, because the house we bought has 2cm granite instead of 3cm. Such a teeny-tiny detail that we probably wouldn’t even fret over, except Allen’s profession is countertops and he wants to change it up. My heart (not my mind, this is deeper than that) is set on an Alabama White marble kitchen and I’m convinced I’ll spend the rest of our marriage trying to convince Allen to oblige. I’m living vicariously through Edie’s beautiful countertops, because I’m not sure that I’ll ever be able to talk Allen into marble in our kitchen.
- Be The Match- #teamwill by Sarah at Life Sweet Life- Sarah wrote an amazing post and Lindsey and her sweet Will who is need of a match for a bone marrow transplant, please take a minute to read it and consider the Be The Match foundation.

I read this countertop post a few weeks ago and sent it to my husband. We remodeled our house before moving in and he picked Alabama White for our counters…we have 2 toddlers….they are gorgeous and were perfect for 24 hours. This post was the first thing to give me any peace about the future of our alabama white and our marriage. ha!
They are beautiful…water spots and all. Everyone who comes over goes bonkers over them and I just nod and smile…little do they know how much stress they can cause. ๐
