With Jud approaching the 1-month mark, I thought I would show you a few of our favorite things from the past few weeks. Obviously, swings and blankets and all things baby-related are preference based. Walk into any baby store and you’ll a plethora of options from everything to changing diapers to feeding.
With that being said, here are a few tried and true favorites at our house.
Dr. Brown’s Gia Nursing Pillow– I used another popular nursing pillow to begin with, until Dr. Brown’s sent us a few things to try out. I must say, I was quickly sold on this nursing pillow. It has an angled design to aide in digestion, I was having some oversupply issues and I think this really helped with his reflux issues.
4moms mamaRoo – Oh, the mamaRoo! These came out after Braylen was born and I’ve had my eyes on them ever since. It has not disappointed. He loves to sit in it and look around before promptly falling asleep. You can learn more about it here.
4moms Breeze Playard– We’re using the bassinet option right now. We have it set up beside the bed and he sleeps in it right now. I love that it’s a two-in-one product. Later, we’ll take the basinet insert out and use it as a playard. The best part is the easy set up and assembly. You can learn more about it here.
Aden + Anais Swaddle Blankets– These blankets are soft and big! They make swaddling a breeze and the more they get washed, the softer the are.
4Moms Infant Tub – This infant tub is fantastic. Clean water flows in and dirty water flows out (watch the video here). We aren’t on a time crunch because the water stays warm. There is even an indicator for the waster temperature. Jud loves bath time, I think it’s his favorite time of the day.
Dr. Brown’s PreVent Design Pacifier– These just happen to be his favorite. We tried several, but he’s partial to this one.
Medela Pump in Style Advanced– I rented a pump with BK, I didn’t know how long I would use it, and it seemed like the best option at the time. Actually, I could have purchased two of these for what we ended up paying. I love the Medela brand. This particular pump is compact and I love that I can easily store it in the night stand drawer and it doesn’t take up extra space.
I’m sure there are a million more things I could talk about. And let’s be honest, I probably will. ๐
Tell me, what’s your must have product for the newborn days?

Itzbeen timer! I found it brand new at a garage sale – best thing ever. Less than $20 on Amazon. (In addition to a giant tub of Aquaphor, the Circo brand tap nightlights at Target, and diapers with a wetness indicator). ๐

Taking notes! I feel like even though Kennedy is only 2.5 that I have to start over on many things!

Great list! I lived on my Medela pump in style for 10 months. I pumped exclusively early on and it lasted the whole time, amazing product! The Dr. Brown nursing pillow seems genius!

I love 4moms products! I wish we had the mamaroo or the rockaroo for the newborn days. My friend swears by one of those big exercise balls when her little one is upset instead of walking she bounces. Genius!

I second your opinions on the Medela. I used one with all three of my boys and it was by far the best (and was actually recommended by the lactation consultant we used when I first had Brayden). One thing I used with all three of my boys were the swaddle me swaddle blankets (they may have changed brand names now???). They are velcro swaddle blankets and so much easier to use than trying to get the swaddle tight on your own. Also, with my first two boys, I used a bottle that had a million and one pieces. With my third, I went an easier route and used Tommy Tippee bottles. I LOVED them and they were SUPER easy to clean.
