I’m going to attempt to document our days a little better. It might mean that I end up posting in the afternoons rather than the morning, or maybe even a little of both. It’s been a while since I blogged this way, documenting random happenings, but everything seems to be moving so fast and BK says things I won’t to remember and I thought it would be good to start documenting our days on the blog a little better.
Here’s a round of randomness to catch things up:
- I had a doctors appointment this morning, just a quick check-up on the incision, nothing major. I went first thing this morning, so Allen stayed home with the BK and Jud while I was gone. I haven’t mentioned this, but this recovery has gone a million times better than the one before. Not that my c-section with BK was bad or anything (I did have a different doctor), I actually thought things were good, until I had this one. I’ve raved about my doctor, whom I love, to everyone who will listen. So you can imagine my shock when she told me she was moving!! Moving. I held it together until I called Allen and then I cried. I’m still so incredibly sad, I’m also certain he probably thinks I’m crazy at this point.
- Braylen must have learned about littering at school. She’s all into recycling and picking up trash that she sees lying around. She’ll say funny things like, Why was there a litter bug in our house? They left this paper on our table.” But, this comment definitely takes the cake:
- I ordered this Abide journal from Naptime Diaries. I’m in need of something great to start my mornings off with and I feel like this is going to be just what I’ve been searching for.
- Judson is doing so well. We’re following the Moms on Call schedule and it’s working out quite nicely. He eats around 9:00, sleeps until 2:00 and then eats again around 6:00.
- I’m still hooked on The Good Wife. I started watching it in the hospital and then talked Allen into watching a few episodes and he was hooked, too. We watch a few episodes before bed. I should be sleeping, but I feel like we’re so pressed for time during the day. It’s nice to unwind a bit with him before we go to sleep.
- The highlight of our day is definitely when Allen gets home. He always does something special with Braylen and it makes me feel better about the amount of time I have to spend with the baby during the day. It’s getting better each day, I feel like I’m really learning to balance the two of them and give each one the attention they need.
- And look who is big enough to take a real bath!!

I am hooked on The Good Wife too! I watched the first season, but the second season wasn’t as fast moving for me so I stopped. I started rewatching about a month ago and sneak an episode in here and there (the iPad helps)! Judson is adorable!

I’ve never heard of Moms on Call but I’ll definitely have to check that out. I’m definitely most nervous about balancing my time between two, but like with you, I’m sure it will get easier when we have a good schedule. You’re doing great mama!

Great to hear you have a good routine, it makes life much easier. I have 6 kids aged 11- 11 months and couldn’t survive without routine. I must say going from 1-2 kids was the hardest for me, it gets much easier after that.

LOVE moms on call!! I still follow their schedules with my ten month old and it has made our life so much easier as well as made her such a happy and well adjusted kiddo!
And my favorite nurse from my OB office is moving too. I definitely cried and was depressed that she wouldn’t be around for my second kid! I feel ya!! ๐
