We talked to the doctors this morning and Braylen is doing much better. She hasn’t had any drops in her heart rate since 8:15 yesterday morning. However, she did have a few instances where her oxygen stats dropped, so they will continue to monitor her today and throughout the night. She will have to stay in the Special Care Unit until she can keep her oxygen up for 24 hours. All of the cultures from the tests came back today and they showed no other infection (besides the parainfluenza). Therefore, they were able to stop the antibiotics and fluid and remove the IV. And speaking of IV, it has been so hard seeing her in the hospital attached to an IV and monitors. We came in this morning to find that they had moved the IV from her hand to her head. My heart broke when I saw this sweet baby with that IV. They explained that it looks much worse than it is, and it’s no different from being in her hand. Just when I could walk in and see her without completely losing it, I come in to that and we are back to square one with me emotionally. Thankfully, it is gone!
Update
We could possibly come home tomorrow if she continues to do as well as she is this morning. As much as we want her home they are taking excellent care of her here and we definitely want her to be completely well before we come home.
We want to thank everyone for the prayers, sweet words, visits, and phone calls. Keep the prayers coming.
Here are a few picture of our sweet girl from yesterday…

Oh hooray! Hospital stays are no fun. No fun at all. All the wires and monitors can drive one crazy… hopefully everything continues to be on the upward mend!
