Braylen has been busy with a few new things this week:
- On Sunday she said “da-da” for the first time. Allen didn’t hear her because we were in church and he was playing the piano. But then on Monday evening when he came home from work they were playing and she said it again. She still says “Ma-ma” too, I love hearing her sweet little voice.
- She found her feet a while back but she has just started putting them in her mouth. Now, I’m not a fan of feet, at all. But I am a fan of those sweet little baby feet and anything she does is cute. See…
- We don’t go to the doctor for another few weeks but I was curious to know how much she has grown. She seems so much longer lately. So Allen and I were going to measure her on her changing table. Allen was pulling her feet to the end and she just sat up. It went something like this…
{notice how determined she looks}
- Last night she slept without her Woombie for the first time. Braylen started sleeping through the night at around 6 weeks when one night we decided to use a swaddle blanket. We used that until she was too big for it and ordered a Woombie. Woombie’s don’t restrict the babies movement because they are made of a stretchy fabric, but it still feels like they are being swaddled. Anyway, we used a Sleep Sack last night (because I can’t handle loose blankets in the bed, I’m paranoid) and she woke up several times. I felt like I had a newborn again. Except she mainly just wanted her paci and she went right back to sleep. I think she’ll be back to sleeping through the night in a couple of days once she gets used to it.
