Let me first say that I am so thankful for Easter and what it means. Not candy or colored eggs but Jesus and the sacrifice he made. I couldn’t help but be filled with joy on Friday, because we know how the story goes and just how sweet Sunday, 3 days later, is.
This was Braylen’s first Easter. I can’t wait until we can teach her the true meaning of Easter and the most important reason we celebrate. Last Easter I was so ready, beyond ready for our girl to make her appearance. I just KNEW she would be here by Easter, just shy of a week before my due date. But she wasn’t, Easter was the first time my feet were swollen during my pregnancy, the first time my BP was high. It was the beginning of the longest week of my life as my due date came and went and I stayed pregnant.
But this year? Oh, how sweet this Easter was, Braylen had the BEST time!
We stayed with my parents last night. It made sense for many reasons, our church has a sunrise service and driving 35 minutes at 6:00 o’clock in the morning just to drive back really wasn’t an option. AND I was so sad all morning because Chase and I wouldn’t dye eggs together. ๐
So the Easter bunny changed his plans and dropped her basket off at my parents…
Her Easter basket was full of clothes, books, a few toys and some snacks (he didn’t leave her any candy, she’s already sweet enough). He also included a shopping cart and play food. It says its for ages 3+ but we just removed the small pieces! She played with it for at least 30 minutes!
I can’t help but laugh at that bed head…
She pushed her shopping cart around everywhere!
My parents got her some clothes (yes!!!) and this little bunny…
Afterwards she took a bath in their huge bath tub! She loved it…
We dyed eggs…
I love Braylen’s face in this picture. My brother is clearly trying to torture me with that horrible cut-off shirt and I have no make-up on, but hey whatever!
Here we are after church with Chase and Haley…
Our first Easter as a family of three…
Braylen is so funny and she definitely shows off for the camera. She even has a fake smile down. Silly, girl!
No more pictures, please
After a huge lunch we hunted Easter eggs…
We played with bubbles and she loved them!
Here we are hunting for eggs…
I know that was a ton of pictures but she just keeps getting cuter and cuter and I can’t narrow them down ๐ Expect a lot of posts this week, I have a ton to catch you up on!!
