Megan at Tales of The Trees is hosting a Weight Watchers link-up where you can share your favorite recipe and snacks and get some great ideas from others on Weight Watchers.
I’ve been counting my points since July and while I’m not as disciplined as I should be I have lost about 7 pounds from it. I only have about 10 more to lose to get to where I need to be (of course, 15 would be great too). Even though I’ve only been following Weight Watchers for about 2 months it’s nothing new to me. My mom lost SO MUCH weight on WW when I was in high school so I have a good idea of point values.
I like Weight Watchers because I feel its truly a lifestyle change. I’m not seeing a doctor or taking a pill or eating specialized meals that are delivered to my door. I don’t have to deprive myself of anything, but I know that moderation is key.
Some of my favorite recipes for dinner come from these websites:
Skinny Taste
Can You Stay For Dinner?
And you can also search Weight Watchers recipes on Pinterest and find some yummy recipes.
I’ve also blogged a few recipes (I have several more to blog when I find the time). You can see the ones I blogged here and they should all have a Points Plus value.
Snacks:
The great thing about the new WW is that fruits and veggies are free. So you can eat as many as you want. Some of my favorite snacks are:
Carrot Sticks and Hummus
Apple Slices with Peanut Butter
Celery Sticks with Peanut Butter
Almonds
Fresh Fruit
Smoothie (fat free vanilla yogurt, ice, strawberries, a banana and a pack of truvia blended together).
Low Fat Yogurt
Another great website full of 1 point snacks is here.
The best thing for my sweet tooth is Skinny Cow desserts. The ice cream is seriously delicious. Especially, the ice cream sandwiches.
I don’t go to meetings, I do it all on my iPhone. It helps to have some sort of accountability. Write a weekly blog post about it, find an accountability partner and be sure to log your points everyday. Jessica and I send an email to each other every Sunday morning and it really helps. Accountability is big thing in a diet or exercise program and it can go a long way.
Have you tried Weight Watchers? Have any tips or recipes? You can link-up here.

Hi! Does anyone here have any idea how many points would be in home-fried corn tacos? They taste so much better than store-bought baked ones, & i usually fry them in peanut oil. I’ve just spent 1 1/2 hours trying to find it on the web but just can’t seem to locate it! I can’t afford to go to meetings & am trying to do it all with old books. I’m using the FlexPoints system, which may be different from the most current WW points system (PointsPlus, i think).
Thanks in advance!!

Good post. I learn something totally new and challenging on websites I stumbleupon on a daily basis.
It will always be helpful to read through articles from other writers and
use a little something from other sites.
