Braylen is getting so big and doing new things on a daily basis. I try to jot down notes for her next monthly post but I thought I’d blog about a few of them today.
- No. Will someone please remind that I thought this was the cutest thing in the world one day. For some reason I don’t think it’ll always be as cute as I think it is now. She has been saying “no” for sometime now, but now she says it with more of a purpose. For example, she always says “no” to getting out of the bathtub and I know she means it since taking a bath is her favorite!
- Miss Independent. Oh my goodness, she has an independent streak like you wouldn’t believe. She wants to push the buggy in the grocery store, carry her her bag, eat with a fork or spoon (no matter what she’s eating) and play by herself. Her independence is precious, but it also makes me a little sad. She’s getting bigger and needing me less and less.
We even let her eat with a big fork (because we forgot hers) at The Cheesecake Factory last week.
- Bows and Shoes. She has a definite obsession with bows and shoes. She has to have a pair of shoes on as soon as she finished breakfast in the morning and then she wants at least one more to carry around with her. And the bows? As soon as I get her dressed she walks over to her bows, points up at them and says “Bow?” It’s safe to say she’s taking after her mama and her daddy may have something to worry about.
- Talking, talking and then talking a little more. I don’t think there’s a time during the day when she’s not talking. Granted I don’t always know what she’s saying. She repeats me, talks to Coco or her babies and repeats things she hears on television. The others day one of her toys said “seven” and I heard her say “eight.” Wait a minute, I only thought we could make it to “bive.” It’s obvious she’s soaking everything in like a sponge.
I really can’t believe how big she is getting and I can’t wait to see how she acts on our beach trip next week!

I’ve been reading your blog for a couple weeks now, and I have loved finding another SAHM blogger with a little girl around the sane age! Olivia is all about no and bows right now too:)

She is soooooo cute!!! I absolutely love the ‘no’ and it’s the first sign of her really trying to take control of what happens to her. {You can tell I listen during child development lectures in uni!}
Also love the whole shoe obsession – daddy’s credit card better watch out when she’s old enough to know what Jimmy Choo’s are! It’s so cute that she wants to keep them on, we’ve a kid in the daycare where I’m working and you could spend the whole day putting on his shoes because he keeps taking them off!

I think she needs to come over and show Morgan how cute those bows are! Morgan refuses to wear a bow.
