I’m writing you from the beautiful Gaylord Opryland hotel and my much anticipated trip has come to an end. I’ll be heading back to my sweet home of Alabama, just a little south of here, in a few hours. I want to tell you so much about the trip and show you all of the amazing things that I experienced. More importantly I’m coming back with a renewed passion for blogging and writing.
But before I go any further I wanted to take the time to introduce myself to the wonderful people I met and the new followers that I’ve seen through Google Friend Connect Recently. Hi!
A recent picture of our family from December. To get to know us even more click on the About Me button at the top. |
This blog has a little of everything. A collision of family, parenthood, crafting and cooking. Essentially this blog is a snapshot of our life and I tend to write deep posts on those defining moments. I can’t help it, writing is my outlet.
I’m married to my very favorite person, Allen and we have an (I can’t believe I’m going to say this) almost 2 year-old. I stayed home for the majority of the past 21 months but now I’m teaching kindergarten.
I don’t pretend to have it all figured out and I’ll be the first to tell you that parenthood is tough and overwhelming at times. But, those times are always overshadowed and quickly forgotten because of the sweet and rewarding moments.
I’m a huge believer in following your heart, not other people, doing what you love and Starbucks iced caramel macchiatos with nonfat milk and an extra shot.
I’m a chronic list-maker and balance seeker. That’s right, I’m searching for balance because that’s one item that really needs to be checked off my list already.
Now it’s your turn, leave me a comment and tell me a little about YOU!

So glad you had a great time and I can’t wait to read all about it. Reading your post reminds me that I need to actually write something in the about me part of my blog. Not sure why that is the hardest thing to write. Have a great week!

Hey Jennifer! I’ve been following your blog for a little while now, and also follow you on twitter. I loved seeing all the updates from Blissdom–it looked like a BLAST and I may look into it for next year. I am a 27 year old SAHM/grad student married to my (not so) highschool sweetheart. My daughter is a little younger than B, and I am just loving these toddler days! We are also expecting #2 in July π

Hi Jennifer, I have been reading your blog for a while now. I went to school with your mom and dad and remember when you were born. Time has gone by so fast. Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us.

I found your blog recently but haven’t commented yet, so hello! I am a newlywed, future teacher and also love caramel macchiatos (extra shot or not). π Looking forward to reading more!

Hi Jennifer-
I’m a relatively new follower…only commented a couple of times. I’m a fellow Alabama girl who loves reading about your sweet family. I’m still a newlywed (the big 1 year anniversary coming soon) and travel a lot for my job as a bank examiner. Someday we definitely want to have a family, and I love all of your “Toddler Tuesday” ideas! I also follow you on Twitter (I think I originally found you by way of Blue Eyed Bride), and I loved all of your tweets about Blissdom. I hope to attend next time! I’m also new to the blogging world as a writer, but enjoy using writing as an outlet to capture my thoughts and document memories. I’m at http://www.ourmillerhighlife.blogspot.com if you would like to check it out! In the meantime,I’m looking forward to reading more of your lists and more about finding a balance! π

Hello Jennifer!
I just found your blog today and it was a day that I needed to find it. I recently left my teaching job of 9 years to stay at home with my two babies (2 and 1). They are 15 months apart. I long for that balance and routine that I had in the classroom. I wouldn’t trade being at home for the world, but some days I do feel like it is dismissal all day! Thank you for reminding me that staying at home is hard. Sometimes I think that I forget and I get frustrated with myself because everything is not going as I had hoped or planned. I look forward to your future post!

I can’t wait to read about Blissdom!
I’m 21, a senior in college majoring in English, and getting ready to graduate in April. I’m not really sure what I’m going to do with that yet {I didn’t certify to teach}, but I’m trusting He has it all worked out!

Love the intro! I’m a new follower. I’m 26 married with a new (1 month old today!) baby girl. I’m planning to go back to work in a few weeks and slightly (VERY) nervous about it, so I especially love your working mom/balance posts. I blog about my life and crafting at http://www.keshetstarr.com.
