The first week of school is in the books and it was a great one. BK told us all about everything she did while she was away. I asked her about her new friends and what their names are and she said "hmm.. I jus' don't know." She wanted to pose for the picture on her first day. She always makes us laugh. The backpack doesn't seem very big until I see it on her. A huge thanks to Sew Close to Home for the last-minute backpack and lunchbox monogram. It's no secret that I absolutely adore all things Erin Condren, especially my Life Planner. Don't get me wrong, I'm the first to jump on a bandwagon. And I don't mind that at all. When I find something I love and it makes my life easier I want everyone else to have one too.Bandwagons can be good, friends.But this, this Erin Condren obsession its truly so much more. off to school she goes
Can you believe it?My hope for her this year is that she'll get to polish up her social skills with other children her age. She'll get to spend two days each week socializing and interacting with children her age. They'll practice colors and shapes, play on the playground and learn Bible verses and songs. You may not know this but she's never been in any sort of MDO or daycare. Her interaction with other children her age is limited to play dates and the nursery at church. I do teach during the day but we are so fortunate that BK gets to spend the day at home with one of her favorite people, her Nanny Helen.But she's really good around other children.
