- Last week BK had her second trim. The curls were unruly and I thought a good shape up might make them a little more manageable. We’re lucky because we don’t have to brave the salon and worry about the toddler waterworks in order to tame her locks. My aunt Shelia just stopped by on Monday, scissors in hand and took care of the haircut.
- Speaking of hair, I made a trip to the salon on Wednesday to get those awful roots taken care of. I went a little darker in preparation for fall. Excuse my barely there makeup.
- On Tuesday we had dinner with my grandparents. If you ever want your two-year-old who seems to be growing at a rapid rate to look tiny, this is the place. Between the 29 rows of purple hull peas and the seemingly endless fields of vegetables she looks tiny. And I like it when she looks so little.
- Her current obsession is play-dough. Every time I smell it I feel like I’m in kindergarten again, it has such a dominating scent that it’s nearly impossible not to have some memory attached. I like how happy it makes her to roll it out on the kitchen counter even if I’m not a fan of the mess it leaves behind.
- Allen painted the big wooden monogram and I found a home for it on one of the bare walls in the bathroom. It came unfinished from this Etsy shop and Allen painted it to match the trim.
- BK made herself at home in this little school desk at the shower. She was shy at first but warmed up quickly. I just love her sweet and funny personality. I need to post her recent Braylen-ism’s, Allen and I stay up talking about the funny things she does and says each night.
