I’m always brainstorming things I can monogram. My childs clothes? Yes. Bathroom towels? Of course. Our pillow cases? Why not?!
This year I knew I needed a personalized pumpkin to set beside the fireplace. At first, I thought I might carve it, but that’s messy and Allen wasn’t home to clean the insides out of the pumpkin. Gross! I even thought about dragging the Cricut downstairs, but for only one letter, that wasn’t happening. So I made the easiest initial pumpkin you’ve ever seen, with as few materials as possible.
Here’s what you need:
- print a letter from the computer in your favorite font
- Modge Podge
- paint brush
- a Funkin (the fake pumpkins from Hobby Lobby or I real one, if you prefer
- scissors
- scrapbook paper
Choose your favorite font and print out a letter in the appropriate size for your pumpkin. You’ll want to pick something bold for a thicker initial. Just place the initial you printed from your computer over the scrapbook paper and cut around the initial.
Once you have your initial cut out, add a thin layer of modge podge to the pumpkin and place the letter on the pumpkin over the modge podge. Allow the modge podge to dry.
Paint another layer of modge podge over the initial. Once it has dried your pumpkin is complete!
