My hiatus was certainly unintentional, I wanted to sit down and put together a blog post several times last week, but I never found the time. It’s been a crazy-busy November and I have a few things to catch you up on. Here’s a big dose of random for your Monday morning:
One: My birthday.
I had one of the best birthdays this year. I had stressed to Allen the importance of low-key. No entertaining people at our house, no big deal, just simple. Allen asked me to go to dinner with him on Friday night, and of course, I agreed. He wouldn’t tell me where we were going. Turns out, he had invited a few of my very best friends for dinner at Chuy’s. I had the best time catching up with some of my favorite girls, it was the best birthday surprise.
Two: Braylen’s Fall program and art show.
On Thursday, I had the day off to go see Braylen’s fall program and art show at school. She’s been practicing her songs every evening and putting on mini concerts in the living room every chance she can get. She did a great job singing her songs about Jesus. After they sang, we went back to the classroom to check out some of the art work she’s been busy creating while at school.
You can’t see it from here, but on that Thankful Tree one of the leaves definitely says Mexican food. You’ll never guess where we ate lunch at as soon as we left.
Three: Alabama football.
If you aren’t aware, our house is a bit divided. Allen is a huge Auburn fan and I prefer the Crimson Tide. We go to Auburn games each season, we’ve even traveled and made weekend trips out of their bowl games. But, in all the years we’ve been married, we’ve yet to go watch Alabama play a game.
You can imagine my surprise when Allen came through with these tickets for the game as my birthday present. The seats were excellent and the game was a blow out. Next week, our two teams play each other in what is sure to be a great game, we won’t be very friendly to each other next Saturday.
Four- Family pictures.
The talented took our family pictures yesterday. I can’t wait to see how they turn out, but the sneak peeks I saw while freezing in the field were fantastic, as always.
Even Braylen was giving her best smile despite the cold.
Five-Every Day Cheer.
Yesterday, I posted on Every Day Cheer and showed off my favorite picks for gifts for girls and my personal wish-list.
