If you’re looking for a fun and delicious way to add a little festive Halloween spirit to the mix this week, I have just the recipe for you. Its quick, easy, and inexpensive and you quickly bag it up, tie it with a ribbon, and call it a day. I have to have tons of these quick and easy recipes on hand, because I cook with a kindergartener who has a love for being in the kitchen, but doesn’t have the longest attention span. And did I mention its pretty yummy, too? Heres what youll need:
- 1 package almond bark (white melting chocolate)
- 1 cup salted peanuts
- 1 cup candy corn
- *more or less candy corn and peanuts depending on your tastes
Simply melt the chocolate in the microwave (or on the stove top if you prefer that method). Pour the melted chocolate onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper, spread to your desired thickness. I think you get the full effect when your chocolate is on the thin side. Sprinkle with candy corn and peanuts; use a spatula to press the candy corn and peanuts into the chocolate. Let the chocolate cool completely. Break apart and place into individual bags if you want to share. And I know Halloween is all about the children dressing up and getting sweet treats, but this treat is something you can share with other adults, too! I promise, they’ll be hooked! Or keep it for yourself. Either way, you win!
And if you’re worried about all of the added sugar that gets thrown into the mix during Halloween, Aquafresh® toothpaste has the answer for you. Aquafresh® Sugar Acid Protection from fluoride delivers the taste/fresh feeling and protects teeth from sugar acids caused by eating everyday foods containing sugars. Aquafresh® Cavity Protection helps protect your teeth from cavities. I love the fact that I feel like my teeth have a great defense because we use the Aquafresh® brand. If you’re like our family, we love to enjoy sweets in moderation around the holidays. I know we’re always taken care of with Aquafresh®. Aquafresh® toothpaste helps protects tooth enamel from sugar acids.
Whats your favorite way to take care of your teeth this Halloween? Tell me in the comments for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.
