Braylen has been busy with a few new things this week:On Sunday she said "da-da" for the first time. Allen didn't hear her because we were in church and he was playing the piano. But then on Monday evening when he came home from work they were playing and she said it again. She still says "Ma-ma" too, I love hearing her sweet little voice. She found her feet a while back but she has just started putting them in her mouth. Now, I'm not a fan of feet, at all. But I am a fan of those sweet little baby feet and anything she does is cute. Music To My Ears
Did I ever tell you that my husband is pretty talented? Well, he is! He can pretty much pick up any instrument and play it... I am completely envious. When we were dating he told me he could play the guitar, and I was impressed with his ability to play one instrument. Then, he started playing the drums one day and then we needed a piano player at church and Allen just started playing the piano. What?? I can't carry a tune, who am I kidding, I can't even clap on beat. Sad, I know. Anyways, since then I have also figured out he can play a mandolin, and the electric guitar. Making Baby Food
I've always thought it would be neat to make baby food for Braylen. So it was pretty exciting for me when she started being able to eat solids. It's really simple and I like knowing exactly what is going into her food. Last night I made avocados, carrots, and butternut squash. The carrots had to be steamed so I used the steamer and steamed a bag full of baby carrots. Once they were steamed I put them in the blender to puree them. In order to get them really smooth (the consistency of stage 1 baby food) add in the babies milk or formula.While the carrots were steaming I got the avocados ready.
