I didn't want to get out of the habit of posting something fitness related each Friday. We're still going strong with the Paleo. We're in Level 2 now which means we had to cut out all transitional sauces and beverages, I even completely cut out diet coke. I know, who am I? The great part about Level 2 is that I can still have 2 "open" meals each week.I took pictures of what I ate on Tuesday and Wednesday to show you what a typical Paleo-day looks like in food form. burlap banner in 5 simple steps
You know that burlap banner that I made for the party this past weekend? Well, I had a few people ask how it was made and I promised a friend of mine I would show her so I have pictures of the how-to process. It's easy, really easy. No sewing or gluing or anything else that would add an extra degree of difficulty. So easy, you can make one in 5 simple steps.1. Make a template by folding a piece of cardstock evenly on both sides so that it makes a triangle.2. Trace the desired number of triangles onto a piece of burlap.3. Cut out each triangle.4. our hearts are full, our days are long
I love this time, sweet summertime. It's everything all wrapped into one. And by everything I mean, everything. It's childhood memories, sticky hands holding onto ice-cream cones, it's the slide at the park, a cool dip in the pool, a boat ride on the lake. It's the smell of barbeque on the grill, from our grill, our neighbor's grill, it doesn't really matter. It's when time seems to slow and it's okay to sleep-in. It means longer days and fresh cut grass and the promise of football. This year summer is even sweeter for our family as we settle into our new house. Everything seems so right these days.
