I have a few party related things to share with you this week and I know if I don't share them now, while they are fresh on my mind then they probably won't ever make it the blog. Like the birthday pictures from BK's April party that I still need to post. Several years ago Debbie made this amazing punch for a someone's party or maybe it was just dinner at my parents house. barbeque and burlap {a surprise 50th birthday party}
Several weeks back my father-in-law asked me about planning a surprise birthday party for my mother-in-law's upcoming 50th birthday. There aren't many things I'm certain of in life but I know for sure that when someone asks you to plan a party with THEIR money, then you never, ever say no. I quickly got my mom on board and we both agreed on a few things, we would have no black, no over the hill, no skeletons and graveyards or whatever else the stores try to label as 50th birthday party approved. fitness friday, the end of level 1
I'm coming to the end of Level 1 on the Paleo diet. You can check out last week's Friday fitness post to learn more about Level 1. I knew before I even stepped on the scale this morning that no matter what, I feel better about myself, I have more energy and I'm going to keep this healthy eating thing up. This morning the scale showed I had lost 5 pounds in the last two weeks. That's huge for me.Monday marks the start of Level 2 and things get a little more strict. I cut out transitional foods and go from 3 open meals each week to 2 open meals. I actually think I'll see more results with this phase.The biggest question I get is about what I actually eat.
